Sick Child Policy for Full-Time and After School Programs

At EAI Tennis Academy, the health and well-being of our students is our top priority. Parents, be mindful that tennis training is strenuous on the body and mind, therefore, juniors should be in good health to actively participate in class. To ensure a safe and healthy environment for all participants, we have implemented the following Sick Child Policy:

1. Signs of Illness:

A child exhibiting any of the following symptoms will be sent home immediately:

– Fever (temperature above 100.4°F or 38°C)
– Stomach discomfort, including nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
– Severe coughing or difficulty breathing
– Other noticeable signs of illness (e.g., rash, lethargy)

2. Parent/Guardian Notification:

In the event that a child shows any signs of illness, the academy will promptly notify the parent or guardian to arrange for the child to be picked up.

3. Return Policy:

Children may return to the academy once they have been symptom-free for 24 hours without the use of medication. A doctor’s note may be required for re-admittance in certain cases. If the child did not feel well enough to complete a full-day of school, they are not well enough to participate in tennis training.

4. Preventive Measures:

We encourage all parents and guardians to monitor their children for signs of illness before attending the academy. If a child is not feeling well AND/OR the child did not go to school that day or was picked up early from school due to illness, we ask that they remain at home to prevent the spread of illness.
